Vintage Chris Carter Studio Teapot
This teapot was made by Chris Carter for his late friend, John Henson, the co-author of the Ruskin Pottery book with Paul Atterbury.
Aside from its tremendous, good looks, I highlight other fine qualities, the weight of the lid, the fit of the handle when pouring, the round flat button of the lid, comfortable when pressed for the pour, the flow of tea. I endorse Carter's design and skill wholeheartedly. A capable teapot, that makes a lovely cuppa.
Comfortablely holds 400ml, average mug holds 300ml. So that's a cuppa, a top up, and a sigh of disappointment.
In good condition, no chips, cracks, or flea bites. Some tea staining from underneath the spout. A unique piece from a renown potter.
