Made from earthenware, gentle rectangular form, creamy white background, and turquoise stylistic fish motif.

The wall panel is stamped with UE, model number and Mari’s mark, in this case MS. Hung and displayed on a wall by a purpose made recessed metal hook.

The series of three different wall panels was produced only in 1968 and consisted of a fish, a bird (model 8016M) and a flower (Model 8017M).

Width 31cm / 12.2 in.

In excellent condition. No chips or cracks.

From a renowned representative of Swedish ceramic design of the 20^th Century.

She was one of the leading designers for Gustavsberg and Upsala-Ekeby in the 1940s-1960s.

Mari Simmulson is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
