Royal Copenhagen Studio bowl
A round stepped bowl with facing Emus in pairs forming a repetitive geometric pattern in raised relief form. The glaze like that of the early Chinese Sung dynasty ceramics. A strong, quality glaze. Well made, with some heft in the hand.
Designer: designed by Jorgen Mogensen, Danish Potter (1927 – 2017).
Origin: Denmark
Ca. 1960s
Condition: In excellent vintage condition, no cracks, chips, or flea bites.
Marks: Impressed JM mark under the glaze and stamped Royal Copenhagen, Denmark above the classic wave mark with the form number 21388 on the base.
